I am in complete agreement with Masanobu Fukuoka's philosophy so it was a pleasure to read it. Larry Korn writes wonderfully and affectionately about this remarkable man and the time he spent learning Fukuoka's perspective on life and farming. I found it hard to put down. I don't see how a skeptic could read this and not be convinced. This book does provide advice on how to perform ( or , more accurately, "allow") natural farming ..... but the better book for a hands-on practical guide is " The Natural Way of Farming" by Fukuoka himself. "One Straw Revolutionary" is the best introduction to it and is just a pleasure for anyone who is compassionate about nature ,loves common sense and simplifying life.....those who believe Nature knows MORE than we, and there fore all is best left to HER. I had read One-Straw Revolution by Masanobu Fukuoka more than a decade ago, and I thank Mr. Larry Korn and Mr. Wendell Berry for making that book accessible to readers in the West.
